For the uninitiated, Arkane Studios’ latest hit Deathloop is a time-bending, action-romp that sees players take control of an assassin with an entire suite of tools, abilities, and weaponry. Much like other releases under Arkane’s belt, Deathloop puts a heavy focus on world-building lore combined with a branching narrative that is affected by the in-game actions of the player. However, from a visual perspective, Deathloop stands out from Arkane games thanks to its comic book-style graphics and 1960s inspired music.

Since its release, Deathloop won Best Game Direction and Best Art Direction at The Game Awards, and is currently one of the most highly rated games available on PlayStation 5, with plenty of outlets giving it almost perfect scores. On top of this, Deathloop was also a retail hit, with the game hitting the top of the UK video game sales chart upon its release. So, with the game being both relatively new and commercially successful for Arkane, it may come as a surprise that gamers can purchase it at half price.

Available exclusively on the Epic Games Store to users only, this discount on the standard edition means players have even fewer excuses to hop into Arkane’s time-hopping adventure. Likewise, for hardcore players who wish to pick up all the special in-game goodies that Deathloop has to offer, Epic Games have further reduced the prices of Deathloop: Deluxe Edition and the Deluxe Pack. In addition to the base game, this deluxe arrangement of Deathloop includes a vast collection of extra digital content, including the previously limited pre-order bonus content.

Although, those thinking about whether or not to give Deathloop a shot will have to make up their minds fast as it is only being discounted at half price until April 7 at 4:00 PM. Regardless, if one rushes into the decision to buy the game but ends up disliking the experience, it will be eligible for a refund if it has not been played for longer than two hours and is within 14 days of its purchase.
